I took about a week away from Chagford to use my Brit Rail Pass and to visit Scotland.

I took the Flying Scotsman from London to Edinburgh.

Lots of snow along the way.

I just spend a few days in Edinburgh, mostly wandering around during the day and drinking beer in the evening.

Lots of narrow lanes, steep hills and beautiful views.

I went cross country skiing in the Cairngorms, north of Edinburgh.

Somewhere along the way I met these two nice women. They had a rental car and were kind enough to invite me to travel with them.

My new friends were very accommodating when it came to destinations. My sister had a Skye Terrier when we were young, so I was determined to visit the Isle of Skye

Skye - My new friends drove me back to Edinburgh via Glasgow. From there I headed back to Chagford to collect my stuff, say farewall and begin my overland adventure to Asia.
